15 Months, 11 Days, and Counting…

OK… so we’ve officially set our wedding date for September 19, 2010. We’ve purposely left ourselves well over a year to plan all this craziness. I’ve heard people say, “There’s so much to do. Is it really worth it for just one day?”… and I think to myself, “Well no, it’s not all just for one day. It’s all for a day or two of celebration that will last for the rest of our lives together.” To me, it’s going to be worth it, so I’m trying not to let it all overwhelm me.  I just started this blogging thing…so this is going to be my first self-assignment.  I need a place to organize (or not so organize) my thoughts, options, decisions, blah blah blah… and I think this will be better than myspace.

* Decisions Already Made:
.
Location – somewhere in the St. Louis area
. Colors – Dark Purple, Black, and Silver
. Flowers – Wild flowers and Calla Lilies
. Centerpieces – piecing them together myself
. Bridal Party -
. Matron of Honor – Missy (the “big sis”)
. Maid of Honor – Becky (the Best Friend)
. Bridesmaids; Amanda (my little sis), Gabby (my little sis in-law), Mandi (friend from STL), Tanya (STL friend)
. Flower Children - (4) Ava, Bailey, Kaleigh, ________
. Ring Bearer – Becky’s son Ethan
. Best Man- Gregg (Curt’s older Brother)
. Groomsmen; James (Curt’s Best Friend), Josh (childhood friend), Johnny (friend), Eric “Harsh” (lead singer of the
band Curt manages), Chris (wrestling friend)
. Ceremony – preferably outdoors
. Pictures – somewhere outside and pretty…maybe a couple of places around the city
…………

There’s so much going through my head I can’t control it all. I’m lucky that Curt is willing to be a big part of the planning, ’cause I know I can’t do it all alone. I don’t have a whole lot of help around here besides him, his mom,  and 2 of my girls. My mom lives in Chicago and so does my best friend/ maid of honor. My Matron of Honor lives in Scottsdale, AZ… and my little sister lives in Florida.

This is going to be one hell of an adventure.
