1 year, 3 months, 6 days and counting

Whoha! It has been one hell of a week since my last wedding update. Curt accomplished 3 tasks on our to-do list and saved us a ton of money!
1.) We had been talking about announcements and save-the dates, and we realized that not only do we not have the money to spend on the fancy announcements you see online, but we could get them much cheaper. We designed our own and got 500 of them for $42.00. Yes… you read that correctly. Thanks to www.nextdayfliers.com!
2.) I came home from work yesterday, and he asked me what I thought about getting our engagement photos done for free. Hell yeah! He found us a photographer that is will to do our engagement photos for nothing. Hopefully he takes some really nice ones and we’ll have a photographer for the wedding too! YAY!
3.) We’ve been looking at reception venues since we first got engaged. Most of the ones we liked were crazy expensive no matter what kind of package you got. It wasn’t until last week when we were talking about it, and he made a comment about having our reception at the nightclub we work at. I can’t deny that the thought had crossed my mind…but I had never seriously considered it. Last night, he asked our boss about it and Mike told him yes! So now, we have a HUGE nightclub to throw our reception at…and we can invite more people! 400 people for $2000… that’s a steal!

I feel like one of the many weights has been lifted off my shoulders. I’m so glad I have a man who’s willing and proactive about the planning… there’s no way I could have done this alone.
