1 Year, 2 Months, 23 Days and Counting…

If you’ve ever been to, or planned a wedding yourself, you know just how much work goes into it. The big picture is the easy part, the details are what will kill ya. For as long as I’ve spent dreaming about my perfect wedding day, I’ve spent as much time recently working out details and hoping that we can have the night of our dreams on a tight budget. I must say, we’ve been very lucky so far. We got our reception venue a lot cheaper than we expected to, we made our own announcements on www.nextdayfliers.com at a crazy cheap price, and our engagement photo session was free! Now my biggest concers are food (see my post “The Search for Food”), decorations, the ceremony…and the flowers. I know I have plenty of time still, but I can’t help but feel a sense of urgency. I have so many ideas that I don’t know which direction I want to go. I wish I knew someone who does flowers or party decorating/planning… it would make a few things a whole lot easier. Our engagement party here in St. Louis is set for the Sunday after my birthday at his parent’s house.
I have to keep telling myself that everything will be ok and that it will all come together great. I have to remember that I have over a year still because we planned it that way for a reason. Just breath Chrissi… everything will come together in time. I see all these wedding shows on TV where they help couples have the wedding of their dreams… I wish for once we could be so lucky. Until that time comes… the headache and excitement continue. The rest of my life with the man I love is worth it all.
